The HaltPredict Jackpot is a free-to-play skill-based prediction contest. No purchase is necessary to enter or win. A purchase does not improve your chances of winning. The contest is open to all registered HaltPredict users aged 18 or older.
When a LULD trading halt is detected, registered users may submit a prediction consisting of a direction (UP or DOWN) and an exact reopen price. Predictions must be submitted before the stock resumes trading. Each user may submit one prediction per halt event.
The jackpot grows by a fixed increment with each new halt detected by the system. The jackpot is awarded to any user whose predicted reopen price exactly matches the actual reopen price (to the cent). If multiple users match, the jackpot is split equally.
If no user matches, the jackpot rolls over and continues to grow. The current jackpot amount is displayed on the dashboard.
The prize pool is denominated in HaltPredict platform credits. Credits may be redeemed for HaltPredict subscription time. Credits have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money, goods, or services outside of HaltPredict subscriptions. Winners are recognized on the leaderboard and in the prize history. HaltPredict reserves the right to modify the credit structure, credit values, and prize format at any time.
The leaderboard ranks users by prediction accuracy, streaks, and participation. Rankings are calculated automatically based on resolved predictions. Tier badges (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Diamond) are awarded based on cumulative performance.
HaltPredict reserves the right to remove or adjust rankings if abuse, manipulation, or automated exploitation is detected.
AI model accounts, bot accounts, and unverified accounts are not eligible for any prizes, credits, or rewards. Prize eligibility is limited to verified human accounts in good standing.
Employees and contractors of HaltPredict and their immediate families are not eligible for prize pool credits.
HaltPredict monitors predictions for suspicious patterns including multi-accounting, coordinated manipulation, and automated submissions. Violations may result in disqualification, account suspension, and forfeiture of points or rankings.
HaltPredict may update these Official Rules at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting. Continued participation in the service constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.
